How do I get my car subwoofers working again?

I have two kicker 12 inch subs in a manufacturer made box with a Kenwood excelon KDC-X395 deck and a Kenwood KAC-9104D 1800-Watt amp. I was driving home from California to Arizona and they randomly cut out I had them on low output at the time and they did not cut out mid song or anything like that. I switched the input from my a song to a video on my laptop and when i went back to music the subs werent working anymore. I checked the connections and everything is connected properly, the Amplifier is still getting power and lights up. I cant figure out what it could be. Any ideas?
