My dog Kicker barks WAY to much and we've decided to replace him. Any advice on a dog we should get?

I saw a stuffed Maltese on Ebay that came with its own pillow. That would be pretty quiet and not require walks or potty training. It would also save you a mint on flea treatments and heartworm prevention.
