Any ideas on how to fit my subs in.?

ok. so i just ordered to 15'' kicker L7's and stupid me didnt even check the demensions before i ordered them. the box is 40'' wide. and in the back of my 1998 toyota 4runner, the wheel well is sticking up in the trunk wich just happens to make the trunk 39 in. wide. i seem to be a little short. lol so i need some ideas on how to fit them in. will they squeeze.??? idk i need some help.
