Would i have a shot at acting?

im german african french and native american (male) i don't have any experience in acting but from watching plays i thought it would be pretty fun. im going to high school and i was going to get into an acting class (i know experience is needed!!!) my dad and a few other people thought i would be a good actor. i know i have a lott of time but i just wanted to have an idea of where i might be after high school (either living in california new york germany or england is all i know right now =( ) is 4 years of experience enough if im good? and im worried about not getting picked for a role because of my appearance. and hows the pay?
